well just explain ps3 then.

on xbox you do something they want you to do and get an achievement. they are worth anywhere (multiples of 5 is all ive ever seen) from 5 to 100. they add up to be your Gscore.

There are 4 throphy tipe JT you get Platinums by getting all the other trophies, You get bronze by playing the game, you get silvers by trying to get them but they are not hard, Gold are hard like beating the whole game on vetran or doing some complicated easter egg.

Also JT, there is no upper limit, it is uncapped. Here's something I found online:-

LVL 3 = 600 pt (+600)

LVL 7 = 6,000 pt (+2000)
LVL 8 = 8,000 pt (+2000)

wait ps3 is uncapped or xbox is? because that makes it look like sp3 caps at 40,000 points, unless its supposed to say 40,000+ pt.

I am led to believe that PS3 point system is uncapped, I just only found info up to that level as I dont think anyone has gone past that yet

ah, im pretty sure xbox points are uncapped. i saw an article about the guy with the highest GS and he buys like kiddy games (one mentioned was a Dora the Explorer game) and gets all the achievements so that he has the highest GS possible. i think he has too much time.
