BLACK OPS MAP PACK!!!! :DDDD

if you didnt see it in the twitter thingy over that way <--- then coming February 1st, 2011 is the first map pack for Black Ops. it is entitled "First Strike" and includes 4 online maps and 1 zombies map. like the mw2 map packs, it will be available a month earlier on 360 than ps3 (sorry ps3 guys). the entire article is here http://www.codblackopsnews.com/pages/news/3550-black-ops-first-map-pack-coming-in-february but to sum it up here is the info on the maps:


Four Brand New Multiplayer Maps

Berlin Wall - This map is set in Berlin, Germany at 'Checkpoint Charlie', one of the best-known crossing points between East and West Berlin.
Discovery - This map takes place in an Antarctic German research station, abandoned since World War II.
Kowloon - Set in Kowloon City, Hong Kong - this map is inspired by the single player campaign mission 'Numbers' which sees CIA agent Hudson fighting his way across the rooftops. This maps battle will take place on the rainy rooftops of Kowloon City.
Stadium - Stadium is set in the Northeastern part of the United States, in a complexly designed Hockey Rink. We'd have to assume there will be room for close-quarters battle on a map like this, but stay tuned for screenshots and videos which are sure to come in the future.
One Brand New Zombies Map

Ascension - Details on Ascension were not available, as Dan said that this info is still classified as of the time of this writing and of his interview with Major Nelson.

kemp- im pretty excited about the hockey rink too. and if you cant run around the seats ill be a tid bit disappointed.

ram- what do you mean? the zombie maps? im not sure, but i dont think so. itd kill the point of buying the hardened edition.

JT - the 'thrill' of the hardened edition is over...so id expect the zombie maps to be available to users...for slightly more that the xtra cost of the hardened edition...i hope so...

but i mean you can still buy the hardened and prestige editions. it would kill it to buy the normal and still be able to get zombies. i mean i hope they release the zombie maps, but it still doesnt seem fair, more expensive or not.

I wanted an mlb game, but when I realised that ONCE AGAIN 2k aren't making a fucken europe-compatible disk for the new season, I decided to go and rent out madden - seeing as I just wanna play some different sport game, and at the time the choice in the rental store was either NFL or cricket - bastards ran out of NHL games... , so I picked up that for a week......
Haven't got around to actually putting it in yet - got it like an hour ago, but yknow.... I'll prolly have a go tommo....

i should get madden. i havent had a football game since ncaa 06.

video of the maps its getting close. now all i need is $20 so ill have enough money to buy a controller, seeing as my good one broke. not to mention the money for 1200 MS points. *sigh*

looking forward to stadium obviously - should be me new favourite map. Also looking forward to seeing how the ziplines are gonna work in the Jappy Chappy Mappy, and OF COURSE the new zombiez map! - getting a li'l tired of ol' kino with bloody..... .... noob without WaW maps....

thats how all reveals are at this point. weve got a bit of time before they reveal more. be watching on the xbox home screen for info too. inside xbox usually has good reviews and tips for the maps before they come out.

im just looking forward to maps that they claim have good sniper spots.

BUT both TG and JT give great reviews of the maps...so i am looking forward to reading them...

lookin- haha i kinda feel the same way, im excited, but on the other hand i need $20 to buy a new controller and then money to buy microsoft points for the maps. though i do have my dad's credit card info on my xbox profile, so i could just use that to get points and not tell him. thats just not me though. i dont like to borrow if i cannot pay back.

gnu- they should do a verses zombie mode where one guy gets to be one of the zombies, limitless lives of course.
