It's The End Of The World As Wii Know It

Damn that is possibly the greatest pun ever created, and I thought of it in about 4 seconds..... I'm a fucking genius .......




but anyway.......

onto the more serious issue involved here.


I would like to take a minute to send a message to the members of only our wii regiment. Members of both the wii regiment, and ps3/360 regiment are not involved in this, but may still want to pay attention.


I realise that we have very few permanent wii exclusive players nowadays, with the large majority of us on 360 or ps3, where I too will be joining them in the months to come.

NV is a great place, where people are very close to us, and many are very good friends. It's a good place to be, with some real good people. They do however, have many wii exclusive players.

For this reason, I'd like to formally allow you; the wii exclusive Fty members; to transfer over there, as I'll tell you that at this stage of the clan, wii recruitment for Fty is no longer neccesary, and so the entire recruitment scheme will stop. NV will basically become our wii area (although let it clearly be said they are a different clan - don't wanna get Q on my back ), and all Fty wii exclusives will have the opportunity to move over there, to feel more active, and looked after.

I will however still sport the fty tag on wii, as will all other multi-platform members, who now play mostly on other consoles (e.g. Bloodi, RaMRod, Topgun etc.) as they will still be formally a member of Fty (if they ever actually go on MWR that is..... ).

Therefore the entire wii regiment as it is currently known will end, as there are too few people for it to be purposeful anymore, and with every head clan member soon to be on a ps3, or 360 (I'm the last to transfer ) there will be nobody to lead it further. Also, with nobody as far as I'm aware going to purchase Black Ops for the wii, it would seem pointless to keep it running, as there is no room for expansion any longer.

As I have said many a time, feel free to pop back in now and then, to post and chat or whatever, and good luck over at NV.

And so I thank all those who have allowed this clan and moreso; community to expand in the way that it has, and all of those who have made my wii experience so much better than the majority who pass it off as just a useless gimmick-toy. The feeling of togetherness shown through the past year have proved it much more than that, and so I appreciate that dearly.

well, i have read kempo's writing and i gotta say:

1. wii is not the best platform for FPS games
2. wii membership has decreased

BUT, people laughed at me when I said that the telegraph would have a resurgance and replace the cell phone...

In other words, their are still some hardcore wii players out there. The wii needs a clan far more than the other 2 game systems. I think the idea is to engage in Selective Recruiting.

Growth without control can be desasterious. We have all seen horror movies about this subject. A few Birds, Ants, Spiders, or Zombies around is ok; but imagine if their numbers tripled overnight, everynight, Big Problems! I think the same fate can befall a clan when the only goal is GROWTH.

But with the proper aplication of minor rules, and mutual respect, we hope to create a group of people brought togother by their similarities, and strengthened by their differances....dont mean to sound cheesey...

The wii division needs a 'mission statement' like most major companies. Core beliefs, make them as complicated as you want, everyone pitch in, those that dont agree with the statment dont have to join.

Example: Mcdonalds wants to be the Grow, and get bigger and bigger, but if Lookin goes in and asks for a 'nice juicy steak'? they kick me out...they wont bend over to please me, even if they lose me as a customer. They say, 'someday Lookin will want a burger and we will be waiting'. They, like us, dont ignore good suggestions, but make sure the suggestions are in line with their 'mission statment'.

SOOOOO soon everyone will have BO, and not that smell Lookin is known for..

here is my advice:

A: instead of open tryouts, have a TRYOUT DAY.

then the clan can plan to be around for tryouts, and pledges must make time to tryout if they are serious (THEY make time for FTY, not the other way around)

B: Let pledges know, UP FRONT, that a min of 1 post per week is required to be an ACTIVE MEMBER.

people that hate 'bloging' will avoid us, yes this will be hard to police, including members that just say 'Bump'. But just posting once a week keeps members informed, and we have, and create, many fun topics that are hard to avoid.

C: create a Mission Statment, that goes beyond KDR, or posting activity

Think to yourself 'If Kempo allowed only one more member to join FTY this year, what qualities would i DEMAND he has?' then turn that into a mission statment.

Just remember, the more members we add, the more time we subtract from playing with our 'best buddies', which is time i personally miss. BE SELECTIVE,
I think you will find: the harder we try to keep members out, the more members we will have, wanting to get in.

expand the wii division leaders, and make Kempo FTY leader, have the wii division leaders take turns, helping pledges, and answering posts, doing tryouts, planing GB matches.

why do i do it? well thats what i do, never quit. sounds silly huh? but college was fun, the first year, after 6 not so much fun, work was fun, the first year, after 25, not so much either (i wont even mention marrage)....ya i bitch about the time i spend here, just not to you guys, when im here im either happy, or drunk...but always having fun, even though sumtimes id rather just play COD or look at Gnu's pics he posted...

Lookin, we're not saying no-one can play on the wii, we're just being protective of the values of the clan by limiting players to where we can't support it as well. I think the idea of having an ally in this exact situation is a good idea.

The point is not that wii is dead as such, for we still have plenty of guys who have a wii, and who have MWR, who can play from time to time; it's just that the number of people in total who are looking to be recruited are drastically lower than say the days of WaW. Add this to the rediculous number of clans around on wii, and you'll find that the idilic structure of "I pick if you're in, not you" can't truely be enforced. Therefore, I have decided to stop recruitment. This in term (due to the lack of number in active wii members) causes an unfair environment to our new recruits, who will want, just like anyone else; a place where they feel wanted, and cared for. This unfortunately can no longer be offered here for wii users exclusively, but is however available at NV.

As well as that, with all of our senior members soon to be on either the PS3, or box of x, and so nobody permanently guiding the wii, it would mean that I would need to promote a recruit to leader of the wii division, trusting them immediately. This will NOT happen, as trust comes only with time; hence why the board members here I have known for well over a year, and so can trust. Trust takes a long time to build, and so like any strong business corporation, I must lay my highest ranks with those who I can solemnly trust. That therefore will NOT be a new recruit, no matter what they may bring to the table, in skill, charisma, or previous experience.

As far as you leading the wii is concerned, it is entirely unneccesary, as you do not truely want to play the wii over the ps3, and the key objective is enjoyment. If you're not enjoying a job, it's better off quitting it, and finding a new one. As far as I'm aware, you enjoy being co-leader of the PS3 reg, and you're doing a great job there, so I'd love to see you stay there.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll still be on the wii for the coming months, until I have enough cash (probably around mid october) for my new console. I don't know entirely which one to get; the slim ps3, or the slim 360, but I'm about a 80:20 ratio for the 360 currently. Any form of encouragement/argument concerning which I should get will be welcomed. Although I feel if I were to get the new 360, I could strongly help enforce steady recruitment on that console in the way which Lookin has suggested. Because I like this idea, and I know for certain that there is a much larger demand for clans, and much higher supply of free agents on that format, than on the wii. Therefore I may bring those ideas into fruition.


P.S. Lookin, please ensure to post these ideas in this months's board review, so I can fully remember, and put them into working order.

ok, ok, ok...ill let it go, i agree we need a TRUSTED member to lead the wii division..

Dont forget, a NEW Wii leader wouldnt be alone, they would have the support and supervision of Kemp, Bloodi, Me and countless others, so they may not need to be Totally trusted, just carefuly watched...

i guess my point is, that the wii division can be as much OR as little work as we chose to make it..

because of work, or drink, or other things, im often away from the site for over a week...thanks to Joker and Rams help, the site just chuggs along...

but when Joker and I started it, i realized i wouldnt be there daily to do tryouts, or police the forums..so i started trying to create rules that would allow the site to function in my abscence or death...

some of my favorite sites to visit, are HUGE, where are the founders/creators? no where to be seen, the topics, and posts of members keep the site alive, of course it helps to have 1000's of members...i guess that is my goal here...

Also, i think that over 80% of our serious ps3/360 members today, were Wii players at RoT or CQC...i just afaraid if we dont recruit youth...we wont have new DEDICATED members in the future

1) this forum will never have thousands of active members. That will have to wait until I have a mass army of antisemitistic lederhosen wearers, and grow a moustache, and invade Poland. This will not however happen for just over another 29 years, so don't you worry your little green boots off just yet

2) Dedicated members who are also young, no longer play on the wii. This is my whole reasoning for quitting the wii regiment. There are no new players unlike what there were back about a year ago. Nowadays, people ONLY buy the 360 or the ps3, because they know that it will be a better gaming experience. Back at the time where wii was fun and competitive, was little after it's launch, so people didn't yet realise that it would be limited in the ways which it was. These good gamers have gone to the 360/ps3, and so too have all the youth as you so call them. If you go on headset (well at least I know this is true of the 360), you'll find around 60% of people are of, or below the age of 14. This is the kind of age I'm guessing you're talking about. So therefore, if you're looking for this clan to last for fucking ages, recruiting on these systems will enable us to grow once the new consoles come out, to outdate these in say 4 or 5 years time.

On a slightly more sympathetic note, I love how in your writing, as well as putting in your absence, youput death..... lol.... it's ok lookin, smoking, drinking, and extreme bondage never hurt anybody......


P.S. I think both spellings are acceptable, but in america the Z term is used more often, and the S in Britain, although either forms can be used in either country acceptably.

This is defo a USA/UK thing. Z= USA, S = UK

Realize can be spelled with an s so it's like color/colour, humor/humour, epilog/epilogue
