**WARNING** My MW2 seems to be hacked

I was TRYING to play MW2 last night, and it seems that my account is now hacked. I don't know how its happened, but all my classes are covered with multicoloured writing, every game i enter into is now hacked, and I feel at risk to other hackers.

I'm just letting you all know, so that either someone can help me get rid of the hack, or you can warn others that COD is getting seriously hacked on PS3

dang that sucks. infinity ward never did much with mw2 post launch, but now it seems theyre even worse about it. have fun fixing that gnu.

RaM has a question.. So if Gnu got hacked at ramdom will it endanger my account if I play with him??? Last thing I want is my account hacked..

its possible, but then again its possible that having him on your friends list could get you hacked. it all depends on how deep into his system the hack is. if his black ops is fine then you should be able to play black ops with him, but i am no pro on any of this so the only thing i can tell you for certain is "i dunno"

It worries me.. Ninja, Wild & Jtrick all "claim" their accounts were 2 randomly hacked..

Something just seems fishy too me???

Think I'm gonna get on MW2 tongiht and see what happens. My MW2 account is junk anyway.. Its been awhile, I'm not even sure I have a positive KDR on MW2

my kd was positive i believe. havent played in forever.
i had a 1.00 on black ops the other day and then kemp made me play hc ctf which dropped me back down to a .99 grrr.

i dont really know what to say about the hacking. ive heard incidents of random hacked lobbies before that hacked anyone in the lobby, but i dunno. it doesnt surprise me that its happening in mw2 more now, they never really did much with it post launch. ive heard of like three updates for it (all happened before i got it) and then the two map packs.

Fredd has a question. Seeing as we banned jtricks, wild, and ninja for this, do we let them back in now?

Well Shock contacted me, he claims he "Was" hacked, not that he "Did" hack...

however...Wild seemed to give me the impression that they KNEW they were hacking, and are bummed now that FTY kiked them...

the last 4 days have been REAL crazy for me...so i havnt had much of a chance to actually TALK to Shock, wild and Jtrick...and find out what happenend...

HOWEVER Shock said he would be willing to create a NEW account just to rejoin us here...

which is giving up quite a bit, just to be FTY...

My question...was fredd asking out of curiosity...or FEAR....

Just in the interest of fairness. I mean if accounts are being screwed with and its not actually the people doing it its wrong to punish them isnt it?

I agree, BUT that being said...i think there are some issues with Shock that need to be addressed...beyond the hacking...as witnessed in Joker's thread...

some things are just "shock", i mean he is who he is...but some could be fixed or modified, some of the 'shit talking' to other teams could be stopped, and taking the games seriously when in with other FTY players is important too...

but shock is a 'talker' so that is just something you have to deal with if you are his teammate....

i would like to have all 3 of those guys back, and if they were hacked, well it aint ther fault and the ban sould be lifted, but lets not let a rift develop between FTY members...i dont want this clan to be divided...

I agree with y on most of it. The shit talking to the other team I do as well. I dont know if its to the same extent though. If he trys to calm down and gets back on his riddlin (sp?) lol, he is a solid player, when trying.

yes there are toobers and lurkers in everygame, and yelling at them only tells them that their meathod is working, because you wouldnt be so mad if it wasnt....

This was the question that worried me most, and was the reason for me making this post. But since then, I have played with some other friends and it hasn't effected them. all the hack seems to have done is made my classes all go multi colours and my friends stats have been reset where they got hacked by other people in other games.

So the answer is - from the evidence, no you can't get "infected" with it, you can only be actively "hacked" by other players. so somone has to be hacking you directly, maliciously, a la "you've been pwnd" etc...

YEs, but in a different game they got into with a different person hacking them...not by me playing with them

i heard that on the ps3 the only lobbies you could find in previous cod games were hacked and that they arent going to do anything about it, or something like that. i heard about this days ago, but havent been here to share the news.

alright guys i know about all of this shit.(it became extremely famous after black ops came out cuz the hackers released how to do it) its called jail breaking ur ps3. this allows you to hack any game with the correct crap installed on ur ps3. the hack on mw2 gives you a mod menu if your host (private or public). this mod menu allows you to do so much crap. like inf. ammo, godmode, super jump, super speed and being invisible, are just a few (theres like a hundred things xD). you can even change the map, mode and time at anytime. ( u can even play mw2 zombies, gun game, one in the chamber and a lot more.) they can also create a challenge lobby.
there is many versions of the mod menu and the host hacker can give other players some of the powers until end of the game or round.

NOW there are some other powers that douche bag hackers do. Like Deranking (resets all stats and you lose EVERYTHING) they can also change your classes to colored which does hurt you its just for fun.

i know all of this because i have multiple friends that have this major hack and have used the mod menu. its amazing but i will never jailbreak my ps3 cuz i dont wanna take the chance of bricking my ps3
