im always blown away...

i meet guys that put a ford engine and a chevy trans into a Jeep (dodge)...an im WTF?!?!?

i buy a new part (supposed to be the SAME) and IT dosnt fit where the old one was...grrrr

so i watch the custom car shows..

"today we will replace the stock brakes on our 65 mustang with Super High Performance Custom Brakes"..

so i think i might learn something by watching...

i learn they have WAY better tools
i learn they have a WAY better shop
i learn they have True PROS waiting off camera to do all the real work
not to mention the sponsers give them 6 different Mod kits to dig through to find the right parts needed

then the guy says sumthing like "in order to install these brakes correctly, we will need to cut through the FRAME in 3 places and then reassemble"

dont get me wrong i still do all the work on my own cars when im able...but even changing brake pads is now a 300 step proscess thanks to antilock brakes...

how can we ever acheive world peace if we cant even get ONE standard air filter that fits all cars??!?!?!?!?!?

dark mentioned in an earlir thread about apples and oranges between 360 and ps3...but honestly..i bet if they changed 10 lines of code...the game would work in either system, and we could all play togother....

think about it..what if they had to make a version of Skype for EACH computer...

and the version of skype for gateway computers only let you chat with people using that same version...

Dark install skype for HP cpus
Lookin install skype for Gateway cpus
Ram install skype for Dell cpus

now we all have skype but we couldnt chat? that would be stupid...

the xbox and the ps3 are just different shaped cpus...they should all be able to run the SAME software if they tried...

the problem isnt with the developers, the system, or even the 'code jockeys'...it is the marketing department...

from Chevy to Sony...those marketing departments screw us ...just to create a FALSE brand loyality...

so what is the REAL differance between a Camero and a Mustang, or a 360 and an ps3? just brand loyality...inside they are almost identical...just minor changes to keep you from swapping parts/games

Uh oh, epic battle about to start right here.

First let me say I love ford trucks, esp F250 crew cab turbo diesels. That said 90% of ford cars are ugly and break down alot. Taurus for instance, they are broke more than they drive and look terrible. Mustangs look like something I did in a rest area toilet after a night of heavy drinking and illicet drug usage. The new 5.0 is great, on paper....... The only one I like is the GT(remake of GT40). However I worked at a dealership and they were constantly having problems too.

Now is GM perfect? No. They have plenty of faults. It all comes down to preference, and I prefer pontiacs.

well i am a dodge fan, and in general the frame and engine are well designed and durable...transmissions...hard to say, cuz it depends on use and maintenance...

but, at least here in colorado...the roads are FULL of old jeeps and dodge pickups...

i DO like the throback cars...mustangs, chargers and chalangers...even chevy jumped on with a camero....however if i was buying a cheap dodge car right now it would be the avenger....

and of course you see them everywhere...they are great cars at fair prices...im just getting old, i dont need the insurance expense or tickes or fuel cost of a big V8 (in a car anyway)...so i prob wont be gettin a charger

and yes, for a formally american made car, the viper blew the doors of the corvette...i dont think ford even had an entry....does ford make a highend sports car? i dont thik so...correct me if im wrong...

but just the fact that the viper comes with a $5000 gas guzzler tax...well, wont be getting that till kempo starts paying me...

And I won't start paying you until you've at least given me head a few times........
