IMPORTANT CLAN TAG VOTE

OK, my first clan tag idea was an EPIC FAIL...
but, lookinlives, lookinlearns

right now, all members are using the FTY! tag, however this still leaves some gaps to be filled. We have junior members (under 13), we have lots of friends, and we have crazy members.

So ill propose 3 ideas, PLEASE VOTE on this, ill give the results to our beloved leader Kempo...

ALSO note: all "Friends of FTY" are expected to live up to the high standards of FTY game play and rules, this is NOT a tool to circumvent membership, but a recruiting tool, as we hope that our friends will want to join us as members someday.

is this just for ps3 regiment i assume?

but I thought you were using "FTY!" = leaders, "FTY" = high kdr, and "Fty" = normal members?

i did think it was a great idea...just getting some member feedback, likly FTY! will not change...

I like the idea behind the different tags, and honestly wouldn't care if I had to use Fty, instead of FTY!. Although, my kdr is on the rise lately, so it may just be a matter of time before the tag get changed anyway.

Otherwise, I really like the way 4TaY, or 4Tay looks. Definitely no confussion on what it means, too.

I like the 4TAY I did it in game a while back because someone kept asking what fty meant.

And you could still do the caps thing.

4TAY= leader
4TaY = high kdr
4tAy = friend of fortay
4tay = member

Something along those lines?

Also using some sort of "code" in the spelling/caps will make it easy to spot people posing.

if you go with the caps thing like nip has mentioned, the friends shouldnt have any caps. so swap the "friend of fortay" and "member" things, seems mean to let friends have more caps than people in the clan.

I prefer Fty to 4ty to be honest, but if you want caps in it to show seniority, then that's cool....

obviously, how the PS3 is managed doesn't (to a certain extent) affect me, so I'm happy for them to run things however they wish (again, to a certain extent).....


but it's up to you really....

all I request is that we keep the fty in someway on the 360, but you can do whatever the hell kind of customisation you can think of

it's not a bad idea nip, but it is like the prob i had with my first plan, the logistics, of tracking kdrs and assinging them to players...most of whom just skimmed that section anyway...(lets be honest)...nobody reads anymore...

dont get me wrong, i love the idea of putting Rank in with the clan tags...but with this group? im lucky they spell FTY correctly....

i personally DO like the 4Tay, tag since as you meantiond...there is less WTF?

as i have said before, we dont realy have to make any changes...but i like the fact that we all appear as a TEAM in matches, not only does it scare the hell outta the other team...but it is IMPORTANT TO RECRUITING....so i dont want everyone doing their 'own thing' with the clan tag...thats why i created this thread...what ever we decide, im gonna have to inforce...my most hated part of this job....

of course BO is about VietNam...the sloppyest the american army has EVER looked...prob why we lost, if ya dont look like a team how can you fight as a team? well....NOT ON MY WATCH MISTER...i want those clan tags cleaned and polished before our first review from general Kempo.....

yeah ive thought about 4Tay before since its would be pronounced the same as Fortay, but now actually looking at it, it does look kinda dumb, no offense anyone sporting it.

i say everyone for 360 needs to have it Fty, but any combo of caps they want, but if youre playing with someone else in the clan have it as Fty specificially, not fTy and somebody else FTy and so on.

no, the problem I have is that I don't understand how 4tay makes it any less "WTF?", because not only is there no 'U' in the word, but the word itself is made up, after a misspelling of a word which I heard once, and thought sounded cool.....

its not the same spelling its just the same pronunciations. like when people use LEET. h! would be "h exclamation mark" but you just see it and think "hi" thats what the idea behind 4tay is.

For the word "Fortay" has no real meaning.......


like I say, it's just a misspelled version of "Forté", meaning greatest skill or accolade.

Yeah turns out it isnt as easy as I had hoped. I did however edit the gaming clan page in a few parts. As far as creating a page I couldnt get that done. Nor could I edit the CODMW2 page as it is locked.

Well somethin is better than nothing.

in my opinion i like FTY! than 4tay.

In some games, players show they are a member of a clan by using a unique tag which takes the form of a prefix or suffix "tag". Tags are often enclosed in brackets or symbols and colored differently if the game allows it. In some clans, there is also a prefix/suffix, which would include your clan rank or status. An example would be: Fortay[FTY!], Name(clan name), [clan name]name, or (clan name)name.
