Does anybody know if Brits make fun of American accents? I saw a group on facebook about it and was wondering. if you have any vids or anything that would be cool

Well some fags pretend to be American - mostly xbox noobs who just play too much cod with their headset and stuff. And it's fun to do an American skater teen accent , but apart from that, no not really. I think it's just because american accents are everywhere, so it just seems near to normal, and there's nothing to laugh at....



Saying that, angry Americans are a totally different thing. Angry Americans are THE MOST FUNNIEST THING EVER, even more funny than angry russians or Germans. Now THAT, people will make fun of....

Is there really a such thing as an "American Accent" isn't America a mixed nation. Meaning there is no main race.
Like in Africa the majority of people are Africans and in Italy the majority of people are Italian. So this must mean that America has no real accent.

well coco i think its where u grow up. like ive grown up in the south so when i was playing mw2 with killmasta he said i had a southern accent and some people have northern accents (which are the worst ones) and then there is the Californian accent which isnt bad its just weird. but you also have to remember how big America really is. like (this is the only analogy i can recall) Germany is a decent sized country for western Europe, but it would fit inside Texas 13 or 18 times (idk exactly). so i think it sould be American accents depending on where your from

I watch a lot of British TV, and sumtimes 1 of the actors plays an "american", i always laugh, lots of americans can do a fake british accent (mike myers, etc) but the british seem to suck at pretending to be americans...

and i hate coconut

NO americans can make a good impressions of ean englishman. THEY are all terrible. And yes thaat includes mike myers. Nobody speaks like how you seem to think we speak.

Also funny: some of my mexican friends, do the cali surfer accent "heyyy dude, wassup?", it is so funny hearing a guy with a mexican accent trying to do an american surfer..

also, like america, lots of accents in England...what's the 1 im thinking of?...never seen it written...sounds like "cocknee", the use no "H''s for instance: 'here' is said 'ere'. i think it is a regional dielect.

i heard some guys at Taco Bell talking in Spanish one time and they had Southern accents so they sounded funny when they talked in Sapnish

england has lots of accents, there is brummy (birmingham), scouse (liverpool), cockney (london), stokie(stoke), geordie(newcastle)...

so you cant really classify england as having only one accent...

and the accent mike myers does is the queens english.. (very posh)

And gadd, stokie has never been a renound accent! I have never heard a single person ever say stokie, or even a "tradition stokie accent" if that were to exist
