MW3 and TOKENS...whats da deal?!?!?

ok, from my FB page you may have noticed that Activision is makning some strange offer...


The claim I will get a "Token" for every former COD game I have prestieged in...

(MW, WAW, MW2, BO)

now i have (with the help of all FTY) managed to get at least 1 prestiege in MW2 and BO...but i'm still lacking in WAW

I was under the assumption you would receive the token only if you prestiged this weekend, that you would receive this token...

I heard they also can unlock special x2 xp days...???

Ram recommends the FAD, which i have used in survival...seems like a nice rifle

but i wanted to hear feedback on how tokens were spent, recommendations, and any stories of buyers remorse.

Any confirmation that a token will be earned for prestiging in a prior COD title, now that MW3 has been released?

Tha last time I played WaW, there was some hackers that made the game awful to play, but I'm up for some more game time, if it helps get more tokens. I might even check out MW, just to see if anyones still playing that one.

I had two tokens until I prestiged on MW3, which gave me another token. Here's what I unlocked:

Blind Eye - cus I hate getting mowed down my choppers at lower levels when all I have is the stupid SMAW to shoot them down.

Assassin - Pretty much same as above, plus no cross-hairs or red name with Pro is a huge plus for me.

Portable Radar - cus I think it's a pretty usuful tool, and it isn't available til like level 74!

Next token will be used on unlocking Overkill. Which, for me, is one of the best perks for a Sniper class. Pistols are cool and all, but I can't his Shizzle with a pistol most of the time.

I'm in love with the SCAR, ATM, and thankfully it's a low level unlock, too.

I might unlock the MSR with a future token, just cus I'm a traditionalist who believes in using a bolty for my Sniper rifle, and I'm un-impressed with the L118A's performance.

I haven't used the FAD enough to have an opinion yet, but I'll check it out a little this time around once it's unlocked.

I honestly think they have nerfed the FAD some since the game was released.. I've been running that PP990 (or something like that, Not the p90) and am in love with it ATM.. Eyesik and Pacman both use it faithful so I thought I would give it a shot

That's the sub-MG, right? I've pick one up from time to time, but have never really liked the SMG's much. Everytime I use one it's Spray-N-Pray.

A couple of guys I know were talking about the Type-95 being the AR to use, and now I see they nerfed that, too. I used it once, and wasn't that impressed. It's alot like the M16 (3-round burst), but my trigger finger ain't as itchy as it used to be.

I'm a little pissed at myseld now for not knowing about the tokens for past prestiges. I could have been spending my time playing WaW or MW leading up to MW3. I'm pretty sure I'm a low level puke on both those titles, and leveling up now would be a pain in the ass, I think.

I like the type 95.. That is a good AR..

I have been prettymuch strictly AR's for most COD titles.. But I am finding the subs to be pretty fun.. with quickdraw of course.

What the hell are you collecting tokens for Lookin.. USE THE DAMN THINGS... put them to work... Your not gonna get any award for the most prestige tokens collected..

well im not sure if im collecting them or not...

i thought i had 3 (MW2, BO, Elite) BUT i got an emial that i was given an xmas token...so i look and i still only have 3...hmmm

i hope 3 isnt the max..lol

l4l - You can start using the tokens now, I believe.

If you didn't prestige in MW or WaW, you should only have 3 (MW2, BO and Elite x-mas gift). I don't think they gave any additional tokens with the Elite/Premier subscription, or to the Founders (which they should have, IMHO).

Ram - I haven't used the MP7 yet, but I'm probably gonna be checking it out soon. I had to setup a SMG class for Free-For-All, so I could compete with the full-auto Shotty's. I've been using the one that looks like a hotdog (not sure what the name is). Kick w/Silencer, Quick Draw and the Specialist group is pretty damn good.

Thanks to the x-mas gift they gave this weekend, I'll have two more tokens once I prestige, which I'm hoping will be soon, but leveling is sooooooooooooooo damn slow once you hit lvl70!

ahh the P990M1.. That is a sweet gun... and it does resemble a hotdog.. LOL..

I got the necessities unlocked now for presteiging. I'm gonna unlock a few more gun classes. I can't stand only having 5 classes.. its not enough...

ALSO how badass is dropzone with parties.. I have been averaging about 3500 per game with a 2+ KD..... One game I wrecked 5080 points...

Yeah, now I'm really undecided on what weapon I want to unlock, either the hotdog SMG, or the MSR Sniper?!?

ATM, I'm leaning towards the SMG, cus since adding kick and the supressor, it's been FREAKIN AMESOME! I can TOTALLY see why mose people are using this weapon over the AR's. It's definitely an equalizer against shotty's, too!

but under stuff i can buy..i only see "2 hours of exp" or "two hours of weapon xp"

how do i unlock guns and perks?

Those you unlock when you prestige for the first time.. for the items that are locked if you highlight over them it should tell you at what prestige they come available

well as the only 4Tay! that hasn't prestieged..i will get there!!! im lvl 75+ right now!!!

So I decided on the MSR as my other unlock item, along with Overkill. I think I might unlock one of the Lethal items next. I'm undecided between the Betty, Claymore and C4, but ATM. I'm leaning towards the C4, since it can be used a couple of ways, and not just "set it and forget it". I particularly like tossing at an enemy and detonating it mid-air.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the last 10 levels are certainly the loooooooooooooooongest levels for me.

The last levels are the longest.. I HIGHLY recommend the C4 unlock... the C4's are so much easier to used and mega deadly.. epically in drop zone..

Plus, their such high level unlocks, that it would be nice to have them to play with longer. Same with the C4. I think that's what I'm gonna unlock next. To bad we can't unlock challenges, too!

I'd love to be able to unlock those high level challenges, so that I can work on completing them before it's time to prestige again.

There's two challenges I really want to get are The Resourceful and Never Forget. The Resourceful should be easy enough to complete, but I always forget to try and stick a Semtex to a team mate before they head towards the enemy. Would be really cool if you could stick C4 to a team mate and detonate when they are near the enemy, but I don't think C4 sticks to people.

Oh, speaking of C4 kills. I got a cool screenshot of some guy using Deadman's Hand in my Vault.

lol.. I have been throwing stickys at my teammates for the past 5 steiges tryin to get "friend with benefits"

haha you guys will have to TELL ME FIRST..so i stop running Dead man's hand...

so far DMH is 80% of my kills...but it take out stickys too..
